Preparing your Quilt

QUILT TOP:

Must be squared, press all seams flat, remove all threads from front and back (from seams and any long unraveled material, along the edges). Any and all seams that go to the edge of the quilt need to be secure. Indicated top of quilt , if desired, with pin or tape.

BACKING:

Must be squared, if pieced together at least ½ inch seam allowance (salvage must be cut off), pressed to one side or open (your preference). Salvage can remain on un-pieced edges. Backing needs to be at least 6 inches wider than top and at least 6 inches longer than top. Indicate top of backing if desired, with pin or tape

BATTING:

I can supply or you can supply your own. I use Warm and Natural Needled Cotton. NO piece batting for a quilt measuring over 50-55”x 60-65” (around lap size), this will be pieced by you.

IF I NEED TO SQUARE BACKING (I WILL NOT SQUARE QUILT TOP), IRON, REMOVE THREADS, SECURE SEAMS, OR DO ANY PIECING, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE SERVICES.
